Robinson Animal Healthcare, the manufacturer of animal first aid, woundcare and absorbents, has given products to Egypt Equine Aid to help support its work helping horses, donkeys and mules at its purpose-built equine hospital in Cairo.

Egypt Equine Aid was founded in 2014 by Jill and Warren Barton to treat sick and injured working animals and to provide education to enable their owners to take better care of their animals.

Many owners cannot afford essential veterinary care for the animals they rely on to earn a living, plus a critical lack of knowledge leads to animals suffering, the charity says.

Egypt Equine Aid also run mobile clinics, offering dentistry and first aid, and education seminars for owners, vets and farriers, and regularly hands out donations of head collars, saddle pads, and noseband covers to go over the uncomfortable chains owners often use.

Robinson Animal Healthcare donated Veterinary Gamgee, wound dressings and Equiwrap bandages; products that were soon put to good use helping a mare with a shocking facial wound caused by a parasite.

Charity volunteer Brimble Wharton said: “Everyone at Egypt Equine Aid wishes to send enormous thanks to Robinson Animal Healthcare, not only for making the job of treating the horses much more efficient, but also for offering much needed comfort to the animals that work so hard.”

Robinson Animal Healthcare is a long established manufacturer of animal first aid wound care and absorbents, including market leading brands such as Animalintex and Veterinary Gamgee.
