Leading pet brands will be heading to BETA International 2019, where some of the sector’s most well-known names have booked stands at the equestrian, country clothing, outdoor and pet products trade fair.

Canine nutrition specialist VetSpec will be putting its range of hypoallergenic, cereal grain-free super premium dog foods in front of retailers with a sponsorship agreement that will see the brand sponsoring
the BETA International Coffee Shop.

VetSpec is owned by North Yorkshire-based horse supplement specialist TopSpec Equine, a long-standing exhibitor at the show. “As a company, we have experienced a number of incredibly successful years at BETA International and we are really looking forward to being able to showcase our super premium range of dog foods to new and existing customers,” said managing director Philip Tyler.

“The show always has a good mix of buyers, from leading chains and premium retailers to those who are relatively new to the industry and it gives us the opportunity to meet wholesalers from at home and abroad. The link between the equine and canine sectors is widely recognised, with most horse owners also having dogs at home or on the yard.”

Other canine brands keen to cash in on the synergy between the closely-linked markets include Botanica International, The Golden Paste Company, James Wellbeloved, Lintbells, Thunderbrook, TropiClean Pet Products and WildWash.

BETA International organiser Claire Thomas said: “Pet companies have become extremely astute, as more and more of them are harnessing the power of the trade fair as a highly effective platform for developing new routes to market. There is an enormous amount of untapped potential for them in the halls and we are delighted to bring buyers and suppliers together in this way. We are also thrilled to have sponsorship from the VetSpec brand, which sends out a message loud and clear that pet companies have a home right here at BETA International.”

BETA International 2019 takes place at the NEC, Birmingham from January 20-21.
