A cat was recued from a tree after being stranded for five days.

RSPCA animal collection officer Lucy Fackerell was called to Leigh-on-Sea, in Essex when the owner spotted the missing cat when her eyes reflected in torch light.

It took an RSPCA officer and a tree surgeon five days and a lot of patience to rescue the cat, which was 50ft up a tree.

Lauren Wilson, Chloe’s owner, said: “She’s back to her normal self now, but I’ve let her out since and she won’t leave the garden, she must have learned her lesson!”
