Like everyone else who regularly attends committee meetings, over the past 12 months I’ve learnt about Zoom and Teams and these new online meeting protocols – when to speak and when to go on mute! The other day I attended one concerning the idea of turning our area into a National Park and the possibility that we could have wireless superfast broadband in rural communities. For the entire hour and a half of discussions one participant was sowing grass seed in a field on his tractor with his laptop in front of him. At another meeting, about our summer festival, one participant was in her garden and another in her car (while it was stationary). This really is a new world!
