While we were going over the sales figures we found something quite surprising. Normally dry dog food is our biggest seller followed by wild bird foods but in the period January and February it was reversed. Our biggest selling product group was wild bird food, something I would never have believed possible. An even better thing is that the profit margin on wild bird food is double that of dry dog food. But then is it surprising when you see some of the prices of bulk dry dog food online? But that’s a subject all of its own!
