Disappearing pet sales

We’d been wondering for a few years now why our sales of small furries had been in decline, leading to our decision to stop selling livestock. It wasn’t that long ago there were five licensed pet outlets within a 45-minute drive of us. They all gradually closed over the past five years and the nearest licensed outlet is now over an hour away. Our ratings on Google sit at 4.5 out of five and we have good reviews on Tripadvisor, admittedly the number of reviews is quite low but it’s quality not quantity that counts! So why were we not hoovering up the sale of hamsters, gerbils and other small furries? Just before Christmas a customer told me he had baby rats for sale and he had easily sold over 20 of them on social media, so is that where all our sales went?
