Banking on our custom

    We received a letter from our bank informing us that they would be renewing our facility for the next 12 months and the fee would be £150. Why would they automatically assume we need the same facility as last year and how do the banks know what our plans are going forward unless we have a conversation? To me the letter should have said, “Your facility is up for its annual review and we would like to discuss how we can help you move forward. That's before I am hit with a £150 fee to enjoy the same facility as we currently have, £150 to do what? Absolutely nothing. Well, we soon sorted that out and the fee came down to £50.
