The high costs of advanced veterinary care and some owners’ belief that pets are family members are fueling the growth of the pet health insurance industry in the US, according to a new research.
Eleven companies provide pet health insurance in the United States and revenue is expected to total $753 million (£463 million) in 2014, compared with $303 million (£186 million) in 2009, Packaged Facts reports.
