Retailer On The Look Out For Product Ideas

Retailer on the look-out for product ideas
6th June 2012

Pets at Home is inviting aspiring inventors and designers to showcase their product ideas at its fourth innovation open day on Thursday, July 12.

The event at the company’s Stoke-on-Trent distribution centre is open to anyone who has designed a ‘really inspired’ and unique pet-friendly product.  The idea needs to be at least at design stage and, if found suitable, could be fast tracked on the shelves of more than 300 Pets at Home stores across the country.

Claire Gavin, head of innovation at Pets at Home, said: “This is our fourth innovation day and it’s a fantastic opportunity for people to show their ideas and creations to a panel of experts from the Pets at Home trading team.

“On all three of the open days held so far we have seen some great innovation and are currently fast-tracking over 11 different concepts into the business, so we’re looking forward to receiving more exciting pitches this time, too.”

If applicants have a fully-developed and prototyped product for the team to consider, send through a design pitch to productdesign@petsathome.co.uk
The retailer will then contact anyone that is successful with an allocated time slot to present their concepts to the team.  The deadline for responses is Friday, June 22.
