Barking Mad Dog Care has achieved ISO 9001 certification in a first for the dog sitting industry!

The award provides assurance that an organisation can demonstrate compliance with proven business practices and appropriate standards, including customer satisfaction and a willingness to improve efficiency.

Helen Shaw, from Barking Mad head office, who was lead support on the project, said: “The process leading to ISO 9001 certification has been extensive and to achieve accreditation with zero non-conformances is a huge pat on the back, which confirms the high quality service we offer to our franchise network and their customers.

“Maintenance of the ISO 9001 quality systems will be a continual process, which will allow us to retain the high quality of support we offer and grow together with our franchise network.”

Barking Mad managing director and founder Lee Dancy added: “Achieving this certification is a proud moment and reflects the excellent systems we have developed over the past 17 years. We continue to lead with another first in an increasingly competitive industry. Credit must go to our franchise network and support team for their consistently high implementation of a robust quality system.”

Compliance consultant Mike Smith, from Rosewood Keen Management Services, said: “As an external quality consultant, I sometimes come across organisations that have a real clarity of purpose, some that live and breathe their values and others that are run and owned by really nice people, rarely do I find a company that manages to be all three.

“Barking Mad is one such company. I have always received a warm welcome from people who genuinely care about what they do and how they can continue to support and develop the business of their franchise partners, I wish Lee and her team all the best in everything they do.”
