Pero launches first TV campaign

North Wales-based all-natural pet food manufacturer Pero has launched its first TV marketing campaign since its inception in 1985.

The campaign kicked off in line with S4C’s November Month of Legends, with the search for Wales’ ‘Superdog’ featured on the nightly Heno magazine programme on S4C. The contest is searching for stories of brave, heroic and loyal canines and was inspired by the story of the faithful hound Gelert, a well-known Welsh folk tale. Pero will be presenting the winner with a year’s supply of dog food.
 
S4C’s creative director, Amanda Rees said, “As a dog a lover myself, I’m very excited to announce our competition to find Wales’ ‘Superdog’. To be able to work and partner up with a Welsh company based in Snowdonia is a massive bonus for the show.”
 
Pero is also sponsoring Heno during the Month of Legends. The new campaign is set to target more than 100,000 potential pet owners and is airing on prime and daytime TV until November 30. It will feature the stunning and dramatic landscapes within the Snowdonia National Park, where the Pero headquarters is based.
 
Pero’s marketing manager, Gareth Roberts, said: “I’m delighted to launch our first TV marketing campaign in line with such an amazing initiative from S4C. The bond between a dog and their owner is special and should be celebrated. We look forward to supporting our many stockists, by promoting our brand, and premium range of dog foods directly to the consumer. Pero has grown from strength to strength in recent years, and all I have left to say is watch this space.”
 
The show is being aired on weekdays at 7pm on S4C.
