A couple have opened up a new independent pet shop.

Creature Comforts shop was the idea of Ann and Graeme Wilson, from Burnside, in Scotland, where the shop is located.

Ann told the Daily Record: “We have a range of pets, from hamsters to guinea-pigs, rabbits, budgies and reptiles.” They are currently gauging the popularity of fish, which they sell elsewhere.

Burnside is the fourth store to open under the Creature Comforts name, with other shops in Clarkston, Shawlands and Milngavie. It remains a family-run business with Graeme concentrating on ‘front-of-house’ and Ann taking care of the finances and general business administration.

Ann and Graeme are hoping to expand their business further, with home delivery and online shopping.
