Kong Company Limited, the UK and European distributor of the Kong range of dog toys, has teamed up with canine behaviour specialist Dr Jez Rose.

Jez, who has a PhD in behavioural psychology, has taken on the role of training and behaviour specialist.

“Advising on how to get the most out of the Kong range is just the tip of the iceberg,” said Jez. “I see many dog owners in my behaviour practice who have purchased a Kong toy but aren’t using it to its full potential.  This is why I wrote ‘50 Ways with Kong’ explaining 50 completely different things to do with the original Classic Kong toy.”

Kong, which offers excellent support to the wholesalers, retailers and veterinary practices that stock and sell its products, will be working with Jez to come up with more ideas to advise customers of the full potential of the original Kong toy as a training aid for common temperament and behaviour problems.

A spokesman from Kong in the UK, said: “We are delighted to be working with Jez; his experience and knowledge of dog behaviour fits very well with the ethos of the company.  We will be working closely with him on a number of projects which are due to be released in the coming months.”
