Hop to it! Burgess launches rabbit survey

Pet food manufacturer Burgess Pet Care has launched a national survey to learn about the nation's rabbit habits.

The Great British Rabbit Census comprises a range of questions addressing the five welfare needs of rabbits.

The family-owned business hopes the new survey will ‘mobilise more rabbit owners in the UK than ever before’.

It will run for eight weeks until November. Each entrant will receive a discount on products purchased from the Burgess website, as well as being in with the chance to win a Burgess Pet Care Rabbit Hamper and Runaround Connection Kit.

Alex Thorne said: “We know from RAW every year that there are a lot of rabbit owners out there who are absolutely devoted to their pets – you can see that from Twitter alone! Unfortunately, rabbits remain one of the most misunderstood animals in the UK, with many rabbit owners failing to understand the correct nutritional needs of their rabbits.

“We’re looking to find out as much about rabbits and their owners in the UK as possible to address these key issues.”
