Bambi S Skating On Thin Ice

A young deer was spotted struggling to stand up on the thin ice on a lake in Oregon, in the US, almost recreating a scene from the Disney film Bambi.

Firefighters were called to rescue the deer, as it was seen skidding around out of control, legs splayed, reported the Mirror.

Fireman Jeff ‘JJ’ Johnston came to assist the deer, who had given up trying to stand, and shuffled her back to safety. Tammy Waters, office manager for the Sunriver Fire Department, said: “JJ was talking to it the whole time. The deer played along pretty good. It was a great way to get training and rescue a deer.”
