Laughing Dog launches new product and packaging

Laughing Dog, one of the few pet food manufacturers in the UK to oven bake its entire range of dry food, is launching a new natural range.
 
Launching at Crufts this March, the oven-baked brand will be showcasing a new grain-free puppy complete, which also reveals a new packaging design aimed at highlighting the brand’s natural ethos. Specially formulated to promote healthy growth and development, the naturally grain-free complete is made from 100% white fish and packed with farm-grown ingredients including green and root vegetables, seaweed and yucca. The limited-ingredient recipe is free from soya, dairy and grains.
 
The new puppy complete, available in 1.5kg and 7.5kg bags, is baked not extruded to ensure a crisp and crunchy biscuit designed to slow down fast eaters and help to keep teeth clean and breath fresh. 
 
Kate Tarrant, marketing manager, said: “Since 1936 we have believed that natural is best – gently oven-baking our food, using naturally wholesome ingredients, and not adding any artificial colours, flavours or preservatives into the mixing bowl. Our new packaging design for this new puppy complete reflects this commitment.”
 
Laughing Dog’s new launch is supported by a wider PR campaign aimed at driving awareness of the brand’s natural approach. Entitled ‘Dog happy by nature’, the brand is encouraging dog owners to share photos of their four-legged friends enjoying the natural world. This is alongside a digital campaign that opens up doors to its farm with photos of ingredients and farm dogs. 
 
Laughing Dog is part of Fold Hill Foods, based on the family farm in Lincolnshire. The company’s Farm Bakery range of dry completes, treats and mixer meals is available in wheat-free and grain-free varieties, and its Farm Kitchen range of wet completes is grain free.
