The local tourist association ran a course recently on social media and the internet. Apparently Facebook is not enough – you have to be on several platforms, so I am having a go with adding Instagram. Using some sort of black magic you can post on one and it appears on the other. I am also advised to be on Twitter, but I’m not so sure about this as it looks like a lot of bad-tempered people criticising each other! I think I will leave Twitter for now. How do other shops get on with social media, and does it bring in business?
